Understanding your identity in Christ…..I am in Christ, He is in me…What does that statement look like in real life?
JOHN 14:20 WHEN I AM RAISED TO LIFE AGAIN, YOU WILL KNOW THAT I AM IN MY FATHER, AND YOU ARE IN ME AND I AM IN YOU.
You can have the mind of Christ. What does that mean? Can you really think like Christ? READ 1 CORINTHIANS 2:10-16 (REALLY READ THIS PASSAGE!)……These are Bible verses we have all read or heard sermons teaching us the 1,2,3’s. Well, if you think after salvation we learn a few Bible verses, apply the principles, work on becoming like Jesus(becoming sanctified) and then when we die, go to heaven and become like Him… You are right, that’s a part of the truth. You can choose to live your life serving God and expect to become like Jesus when you die. You can have that kind of christian life…so… Here’s a thought: that’s Living to Die so you can get the real deal.
Jesus said he came that we might have life and have it abundantly! Here & NOW! Not only when we die.
JOHN 10:10 THE THIEF COMES ONLY TO STEAL, KILL AND DESTROY; I HAVE COME THAT THEY MAY HAVE LIFE, AND MAY HAVE IT ABUNDANTLY.
Right before Jesus left in the clouds he gave us some instructions.
MARK 16:15-18 GO INTO ALL THE WORLD AND PREACH THE GOSPEL TO ALL CREATION. WHOEVER BELIEVES AND IS BAPTIZED WILL BE SAVED, BUT WHOEVER DOES NOT
BELIEVE WILL BE CONDEMNED. AND THESE SIGNS WILL ACCOMPANY THOSE WHO BELIEVE: IN MY NAME THEY WILL DRIVE OUT DEMONS; THEY WILL SPEAK
IN NEW TONGUES; THEY WILL PICK UP SNAKES WITH THEIR HANDS; AND WHEN THEY DRINK DEADLY POISON, IT WILL NOT HURT THEM AT ALL; THEY
WILL PLACE THEIR HANDS ON SICK PEOPLE, AND THEY WILL GET WELL.
I choose to live this way. I start each day (before I get out of bed) “Doing my Dailies”(spiritual disciplines). I present myself as a living sacrifice, on the altar before my King. Asking for Holy Fire to burn Me Up! I choose to renew my mind by reading the Word. Then, I listen to the guidance of Holy Spirit for that day. Father is wanting His kids to grow up fully, “For such a time as this.” What do you choose each day?
